Flatt Lonesome’s October News Including IBMA Recap, Dove Awards, Recap, New Online Store and more!

IBMA Recap:
It’s been three weeks since the IBMA World of Bluegrass in Raleigh, NC and we still can hardly wrap our heads around everything that happened while we were there! We took part in several media interviews, performed a showcase for Mountain Home Records, made multiple appearances at the trade show, were part of panel discussions and workshops, hosted Bluegrass Karaoke, walked the Red Carpet, and performed for the Awards and Wide Open Bluegrass! It was definitely what we would call a very successful week of business with a whole lot of fun thrown in and we loved every bit of it. But, we can’t talk about it without mentioning we took home THREE IBMA AWARDS!! Wow! It’s pretty surreal to realize we’ve accomplished this much in the last six years. Being recognized by our peers is something we are so very grateful for. Thanks again to each of you for the love and support you’ve given us over the years. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us!

Dove Awards Recap:
We attended our first ever Gospel Music Association Dove Awards this month. We were honored to be nominees in the Bluegrass Recorded Song category and were thrilled for Jimmy Fortune and The Oak Ridge Boys who took home the award. Probably the coolest thing for us, was meeting so many new people. We decided to take it all in and walked the Red Carpet where we participated in many interviews. Everyone welcomed us with open arms. Buddy even met his future wife – Sadie Robertson. Ok, Sadie doesn’t realize they are getting married, yet. But hey, you never know!
