JMRR has had a fantastic time over the last few weeks performing for some wonderful crowds and reconnecting with great friends! One of their favorite places to visit is the “Lone Star State” and they had a wonderful opportunity to do just that when they made an appearance at Bluegrass On Ballard in Wylie, Texas for a show co-produced by the City of Wylie and the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation, founded by their good friend Alan Tompkins. Alan and the BHF do wonderful work and promote music education, encouraging young players to learn and grow in bluegrass music. Thanks to the band’s good friends at Janet Davis Acoustic Music, JMRR were able to make a surprise presentation of a new Recording King 5-string resonator banjo for use in the Play It Forward! Instrument Lending Program.
