NASHVILLE, TN – Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers and Billy Blue Recordsannounce the release of the band’s brand-new Gospel album, Thankful and Blessed, available today. Featuring a collection of songs written by some of gospel and bluegrass music’s finest writers, Thankful and Blessed is aptly named and one of the band’s most important projects to date.
For nearly two decades, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have consistently included gospel music in their recordings, a decision that has endeared them to fans and radio programmers alike. Their gospel tracks are among the most beloved by their audience, showcasing the band’s commitment to preserving the rich, spiritual heritage of the genre. Citing two Gospel Recorded Performance awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (“All Dressed Up” and “Sacred Memories”), a Gospel performance video with over three million views (“I Want To Know More About My Lord”), and a viral TikTok soundtrack (“Don’t You Want To Go Home”), it’s evident the band knows what resonates most with the hearts of their listeners.
Thankful and Blessed kicks off with “He Sees The Little Sparrows Fall,” written by Conrad Fisher, the talented songwriter behind two hits for JMRR including “Living Left To Do” from their previous Gospel album, Somewhere Beyond The Blue. Fisher’s poignant lyrics remind listeners of God’s constant watch over us, even in the smallest moments of life.
Other standout tracks on the album include “I Am Blessed,” written by Jerry Goff, a song that conveys an uplifting message of gratitude and the power of divine blessings. “Even Better When You Listen,” written by Mark Bon Durant and Rick Lang, and “One Breath Away,” written by Paul Williams specifically for JMRR, were the first two singles from the project, and have been chart-toppers in the months leading up to today’s album release.
Other tracks on Thankful and Blessed include “Journey On,” a song of encouragement to persevere through life’s struggles with faith while supporting others along the way; “There’s a New World A Waiting,” a Randall Hylton gem offering a hopeful reflection on the eternal promise of heaven; and “No Stone Unturned,” giving assurance of Jesus’ return to resurrect the dead, where no one is overlooked, regardless of their resting place.
Fans of classic Gospel music will appreciate “He Set Me Free,” a timeless anthem written by the legendary Albert E. Brumley. “They’re Waiting For Me,” another contribution from Paul Williams, speaks of the anticipated reunion with loved ones in heaven, and “Lord I’m Thankful,” written by Larry Cordle and Larry Shell, wraps up the album with a joyful expression of thanksgiving for the many blessings in life.
“As we roll into our twentieth year, it feels right to share our fourth all-gospel collection,” says Mullins. “The Radio Ramblers have had the privilege of singing songs about our Savior in over 40 states, across most Canadian provinces, on two trips to Europe, and many times from the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. And through it all, we’ve felt incredibly thankful and blessed, not because we’ve been afforded a multitude of opportunities, but because of the love and encouragement from our families, the kind words we’ve heard from folks who’ve been touched by our music, and the protection we’ve felt as we’ve traveled from place to place, all under God’s watchful care. Since I gave my life to Christ in 1995, I’ve been able to sing songs of redemption and celebrate God’s grace in every way. I’ve been blessed beyond measure, and I’m truly thankful for the road I’ve walked and the music I get to share with all of you.”
Thankful and Blessed is available now on all digital platforms and to radio programmers worldwide via AirPlay Direct or digital download. For more on Thankful and Blessed and Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers visit www.radioramblers.com.
